Jeffrey co-founded Berenson Minella & Company in 1990, the predecessor firm to Berenson & Company. Prior to founding the Firm, Jeffrey was the Head of Merrill Lynch’s Mergers and Acquisitions department and Co-Head of their Merchant Banking group. Jeffrey joined White Weld & Co. in 1972, moving to the Mergers and Acquisitions Department of Merrill Lynch following their acquisition of White Weld in 1978. ​ Jeffrey graduated magna cum laude with a B.A. from Princeton University.

Mohammed is a Senior Managing Partner and the President of Berenson. He leads Berenson's principal investing business and has completed over 100 principal investments and investment banking transactions since joining the Firm. Mohammed currently serves on the Board of Interactive Digital Solutions, Skience and Kayan Aviation, and as a Board Observer for IntraPac. Mohammed joined Berenson in 1997 from Salomon Brothers, where he worked in merger and acquisition advisory for major U.S. and Canadian corporations in the New York and Toronto offices. Mohammed received a Master's of Philosophy Degree in Economics from Cambridge University and a B.S. in Economics and Business Finance from Brunel University, where he graduated with First Class Honors.

Islam is a Senior Managing Partner and the Head of Global Capital Markets and Restructuring at Berenson. Islam graduated cum laude from the University of Illinois at Champaign with a Bachelor of Arts degrees in Finance and Economics.

Amir is a Managing Director at Berenson and currently focuses on media, software, technology and business services. He has over 10 years of experience in investment banking and private equity investing and is a senior member of Berenson Capital, the firm’s private equity practice. Amir currently serves on the Board of Skience. Amir has experience working on a variety of transactions, including capital raises, restructurings, and sell side and buy side assignments, and across industries including technology, software, media, business services, real estate and energy. Amir graduated cum laude with a B.A. in Finance and a minor in Economics from Pace University.​

Michael is the Chief Financial Officer and Chief Compliance Officer of Berenson. He has over 25 years of experience in financial services and investment banking. Prior to Berenson, Michael was the Controller for a significant business unit of Zurich Financial Services; a Senior Accountant at Marsh & McLennan; and a Staff Accountant at Price Waterhouse. Michael is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, and hold Series 7, 24, 27, 79 and 99 registrations with the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (“FINRA”). Michael received a Master of Business Administration degree in Finance and Management with honors from New York University and a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting with honors from the University at Albany.

Robert is a Managing Director at Berenson and has over 30 years of experience in financial services and investment banking. ​ Prior to Berenson, Robert was a Managing Director and the Head of Diversified Financial Services at Bank of America, Managing Director in the Financial Institutions Group at Credit Suisse First Boston, and Managing Director in the financial institutions group at Salomon Brothers. ​ Robert received an M.B.A. from Stanford Graduate School of Business and a B.A. from Dartmouth College.

Brendyn is a Managing Director at Berenson. He is involved in all aspects of investment origination and execution. Prior to joining Berenson, Brendyn was a Principal at Halyard Capital, a middle market private equity firm focused on tech-enabled business services. Brendyn has served on the Boards of TI Health, Stratex, Aberdeen Group, Jun Group, Practice Insight, HCPRO / Greeley Company and Engauge Marketing. Prior to Halyard Capital, Brendyn was an Analyst at Credit Suisse and J.P. Morgan Asset Management. Brendyn received his B.S. in Finance from Boston College.

Josh is a Managing Director and the Head of Business Development, Marketing and Investor Relations at Berenson. Prior to joining Berenson, Josh was a Vice President and the Head of Business Development at Solamere Capital, a $1+ billion private equity firm that was founded in partnership with Mitt Romney (who stepped down in 2019 to join the U.S. Senate). Prior to Solamere Capital, Josh was a Vice President of Business Development at Gemspring Capital, a $1+ billion private equity firm specializing in lower middle market companies. While at Gemspring, Josh was responsible for sourcing new investments and leading the firm’s marketing and business development efforts. Earlier in his career, Josh focused on financial technology at Axial and the London Stock Exchange Group. Josh received his B.S. in Finance from Sacred Heart University.

Caitlin is a Vice President at Berenson and leads the Firm's marketing and business development efforts. Prior to Berenson, Caitlin shaped her career in financial communications while executing investor relations strategy for public companies with two agencies, and then followed these efforts by moving into business development with Axial, a leading deal platform. While at Axial, Caitlin supported investment banks with the restructuring of their business development strategies. She went on to join a client, Aerospace Equities, to rebuild their brand, origination strategy, and deal execution process. These efforts led to new relationships with A&D entrepreneurs and two closed transactions. Outside of the financial services industry, Caitlin led the build-out of sophisticated customer success and marketing operations at a B2B software company, Tacton Systems, and a B2C sports entertainment company, Clash Endurance. Caitlin earned her B.A. in Communications from the University of Central Florida.

Dom is a Vice President at Berenson, where he focuses on healthcare, software and tech-enabled services. Prior to Berenson, Dom was a Vice President at Berkery Noyes, a New York City based investment bank specializing in software and tech-enabled companies across various sectors, including education, healthcare, marketing, and financial services. While at Berkery Noyes, Dom focused on expanding the firm's presence into both pure-play software companies and developing healthcare verticals, such as behavior health and multi-site service providers. He also established the firm's presence in Austin, TX, where he currently resides. Dom began his career as an Analyst at J.P. Morgan. Dom has completed over 30 transactions to a broad range of global acquirers and private equity firms, such as: Film Freeway acquired by Backstage, a portfolio company of TA Associates, Center for Autism and Related Disorders (CARD) acquired by Blackstone (NYSE: BX), ACES entered a strategic partnership with General Atlantic, Electra Information Systems acquired by Gresham Technologies (LON:GHT.L), and Aries Systems acquired by RELX Group (NYSE:RELX). Dom received dual B.A. degrees in Economics and English Literature from Hobart College.

Alex is a Vice President at Berenson. He is involved in all areas of the firm’s investment banking and principal investing activities. Alex co-led the firm’s investment in Octane Lending and served as a Board Observer. Alex graduated magna cum laude from Georgetown University’s School of Foreign Service with a B.Sc. in International Economics.

Chris is a Vice President at Berenson, where he focuses on software and tech-enabled services. Prior to Berenson, Chris was a Vice President at Alantra, a global middle market investment bank, where he helped establish the firm’s global technology coverage group and New York office. Chris joined Alantra from Bowen Advisors, a Boston-based boutique investment bank that specializes in advising growth-oriented software and communications companies. He started his career as an Analyst at Bank of America Merrill Lynch. Chris has completed more than 30 transactions over the course of his career, advising industry-leading and emerging growth technology companies such as REEF Technology (proximity-as-a-service platform backed by SoftBank), PlumRiver (B2B e-commerce SaaS), VoIP Innovations (CPaaS), FSEnet (PDM & supply chain SaaS), Targit (BI software) and BroadSoft (cloud communications & collaboration). He has driven superior outcomes for clients with a broad range of global acquirers and private equity investors, including Descartes (TSX:DSG), Syndigo (fka Gladson), Nokia (HLSE:NOKIA), Upland Software (Nasdaq:UPLD), Francisco Partners, Partners Group (SWX:PGHN), LLR Partners, Pamlico Capital, the Wicks Group, and GRO Capital. Chris received his B.S. in Economics from Trinity College in Hartford, Connecticut.

Arthur is a Vice President at Berenson, where he focuses on software and tech-enabled services. Prior to Berenson, Arthur was an Associate at Arbor Advisors, a San Francisco-based boutique investment bank focused on growth-oriented software and technology transactions. Earlier in his career, Mr. Gennari was an Associate at Axial, a leading financial technology platform focused on private equity. Arthur received a B.A. in History from the University of Virginia, where he competed for the Men’s Track & Field team.

Justina is the Operations Manager at Berenson. She is involved in all aspects of human resources, banking, space management and technology. Justina previously worked on the Berenson administrative team as an executive assistant. Justina graduated from James Madison University with a BA in International Affairs.
