Berenson Hires Keith Sipes as Managing Director

Berenson announced today that Keith Sipes has joined as a Managing Director.

Keith will focus on building client relationships in the software, technology and tech-enabled services sectors. With 21+ years of investment banking and M&A experience, Keith possesses considerable expertise in advising both public and private companies to achieve their various strategic M&A and corporate finance objectives, including mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, joint ventures, restructurings, shareholder defense, leveraged buyouts, recapitalizations, and equity and debt financing.

During his career, Keith has successfully consummated more than 100 M&A and corporate finance assignments, exceeding $100 billion in aggregate value, and worked with many leading technology, media and telecom companies, including 3Com, Abrisa Technologies, Activision, Alarm.com, Amazon, AMC Entertainment, Angie’s List, Bandai Namco, Bosch GmbH, Brightcove, CAA, Charter Communications, DHISCO, DoubleClick, Double Eagle, Gracelock Industries, Green Smoke, Guidewire, IGT, Kateeva, Kayak, Language Line, Lee Enterprises, Lions Gate, Live Nation, MCI, Netflix, Newegg, Nextel, Orbitz, Pandora, RateGain, RealD, Rise Broadband, Sezmi, SpectraLink, Sprint Nextel, STATinMED Research, StoneEagle F&I, Telefónica, The Hearst Corporation, The Walt Disney Company, Time Warner, Verizon, Viacom, VMWare, and among many others.

Prior to Berenson, Keith spent the first 13+ years of his investment banking career working with public company clients at Merrill Lynch, Lazard Freres and Thomas Weisel Partners, and the last 8 years primarily focused on advising private growth companies, most recently serving as Stout’s Head of TMT Investment Banking.
